Journal #1 - An Introspective Week
Hey Guys,
I thought since I haven't really kept a journal in any form recently that I start by using my Alex Merced Community blog for that purpose. I've been in New York just about 4 months and I've accomplished a lot at this point including:
- Training to be a Stock Broker successfully
- Training to be a bartender
- Marketing Work in the fashion industry
- Making Connections to return to concert promoting
I got a possible gig as a publicist pending and always looking for more projects to take on, and these last few days I been writing songs again. I got a solid 4 songs done since I've moved and dozens of ideas I tool around with once in awhile. A lot done, but lack of income is definetley hurting the savings as thing get down to brass tax these days.
:Although these last few weeks have been very interesting for me, all of the sudden my social calendar went from nothing to a lot spending sometime with some of the new friends I have made and visits from many people of my past from all around the many places I have been. It's really made me evaluate the life I've lived and what my priorities are. Some observations.
- As much as ambition can make a person lonely, I still got some things to get done before I can adequately tackle a relationship again as much some parts of me demand some level of intimacy in my life to just keep it together.
- I have been very fortunate to have many unique experiences with a very colorful casts of friends and family, and the cast just keeps getting better and there is no question that I am very fortunate to have the life I've had so far.
I mean that's the igst of what goes through my head these days, I don't really know I'll be doing with myself in a few weeks time, but the journey continues and it hasn't slowed down.
